Short Stories and Flash Fiction

On this course, you'll write short stories and receive an introduction to writing flash fiction, (very short stories).

We’ll tap into your creativity and explore ways to make your writing shine.

The course will cover how to start and keep going, story shapes and structure, point of view, and characterisation.

Each week there will be writing prompts, time to share work and feedback.

There will be opportunities to develop your unique voice, find your superskills as a writer and discuss work with other students in a supportive collaborative space. Your tutor will also provide feedback on work. This course is suitable for beginners, and more confident writers.

Grace Palmer is a writer passionate about teaching others. Her flash fiction and poetry has been featured on BBC Upload in the South West and Liverpool, and published in literary magazines. I wish I’d done this years ago.
You are an amazing teacher. I so enjoy class. and love the challenges (not the right word really) that you put out there for us. reading snippets of stories and asking what comes next do you think, or 'where would you take this'. and working in pairs is a brilliant part of this.
