Building and Hall Hire

Ilminster Arts Centre is a multi-arts venue and charity which has been bringing live music, art exhibitions and creative workshops to the community for almost 30 years. It is based in a large historic church in the heart of Ilminster, with beautiful stained glass windows.

It’s the perfect venue for business, community or private functions in an interesting setting. Space for hire includes a large, high-ceilinged Main Hall, and a light and airy Gallery Café and Main Gallery.

Availability and Facilities

The building is available for hire on Mondays from 8:00 to 22:00 and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 16:00 to 22:00. Also, the Main Hall can be used during the day over some of the school summer holidays, whilst the rest of the building is open as usual.

Hire includes:

  • Tables & covers

  • Chairs

  • Free car parking

  • Ladies & gents toilets

  • Disabled access & toilet

  • Free wifi & utilities

Additional services, available on request:

  • A range of catering options from an on-site, independent café

  • A licensed bar, run by Ilminster Arts Centre

  • A volunteer steward to assist

  • Performance equipment, e.g. piano, staging & PA system

  • Audio visual equipment (e.g. screen and projector) is not supplied, but plenty of electrical sockets and cables are available. All equipment brought onto site must be PAT tested.

Charges

For exclusive hire of entire building (inc. car park and garden areas):
Half-day (3 hrs): £150
Full-day (7 hrs): £260
7-12 hrs: £300

For hire of Main Hall only, whilst other activities are underway in other areas:
Half-day (3 hrs): £50
Full-day (7 hrs): £90

In addition, there is a £30 set-up and take-down charge as required.

Please note:
A 50% discount applies to registered community groups and charities, unless tickets are sold to the public for the event.
Hire is not available for third-party events sold to the general public.
