Volunteer with us
The Arts Centre is primarily run by a dedicated team of volunteers. There are lots of opportunities to contribute to our charitable work and the community. It's also a great way to meet people and add to your social life, all in aid of a great cause.
Roles include:
Front desk volunteer - being the first port of call for visitors and processing sales in the gift shop.
Gallery steward - engaging with visitors about the latest art exhibition and keeping an eye on the artwork.
Office volunteer - dealing with telephone and email enquiries, taking phone bookings, ordering office supplies, assisting with marketing activities, supporting the front desk and gallery volunteers.
Performance volunteer - preparing the space for events, welcoming people on the door, staffing the bar, helping to shape the direction of our performance programme.
Garden and maintenance volunteer - keeping the outside spaces neat and tidy, helping with small DIY tasks around the building.
Greetings cards volunteer - working with our shop volunteers to keep our greetings card section tidy and well-stocked, liaising with suppliers.
Exhibition curator - helping to curate and hang exhibitions.
These are just a selection of the things which you could help with around the Arts Centre. If you have specific skills or interests which you think could be of use then please get in touch. Training will be provided for all roles, and we are always keen to welcome people with passion and ideas!
