If you have joined one of my Introduction workshops, you will have discovered the many ways of expressing marks and how to use the tools. You will also know that this medium is perfectly designed for abstract and semi-abstract work.

This ‘Taking it Further’ workshop will help you build on the experience you gained and will cover the following:

• A talk to recap on skills already covered

• Loosen up with thumbnail oil sketches to develop composition and preferred palette, then work on larger scale

• Explore what works - shapes, tone, lines (meeting points) and colour relationships

• A selection of reference photos will be provided as a springboard for ideas

• More time will be given to talk through approaches individually or as a group

• Look at ways in which you can select, crop and present your finished works of art

• The aim is for you to go away with new ideas and exciting creations that express more of your individual style!
