Oil and Cold wax- A different approach to painting

Cold wax is a versatile medium mixed with oil paints and applied with unconventional tools. Both landscape and figurative painters around the world find that the addition of cold wax medium offer unique and exciting effects. It also reduces drying times and the luminous and textural qualities evoke a sense of mystery and depth in paintings with very little effort.

This workshop is especially suited to those who prefer learning new techniques and playfully experimenting with colour and texture. No previous experience is required, just come and be surprised by what you create!

·    Learn how to work intuitively with the various mediums and unconventional tools

·    Build rich layers of texture, patterns and marks to form the foundation to your paintings

·    Allow your playful side to emerge and embrace happy accidents

·    Use imprinting, inscribing, transfer and reductive techniques

·    Make veils of colour with soft rollers
