‘S’Wonderful’ A homage to George Gershwin

This brand new show centre's on one of the greatest composers of the 20th Century , George Gershwin and features many of his compositions including The man I Love , Someone to Watch Over Me , Summertime and I've Got Rhythm '.

Featuring Julian Stringle on Clarinet, Dominic Ashworth on Guitar , Craig Milverton on Piano , Ashley John Long on Bass and Nick Millward on Drums .

Julian and Dominic are 2 of our greatest musicians and alongside The Craig Milverton Trio, this promises to be an evening of Virtuosity, Swing and Fun !

Dominic Ashworth studied at the University of Toronto, Canada, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is an active freelance player who has worked with Carol Kidd, Jacqui Dankworth, Dave Cliff and Janette Mason. Dominic is also a composer, and has written and recorded many original works for radio and television and performs with orginal guitar trio Digtal Moves. He performs in London with groups such as Julian Stringle's Pathfinder, the Mick Foster Group, Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen and Michael Garrick's Big Band & Quartet

Julian Stringle plays Clarinet, Alto & Tenor Saxes and Sings - but the Clarinet is his
passion and he is now recognised as the most stylish performer on the
instrument in Europe.
He was voted 'Best Clarinettist' at the British Jazz Awards 2019.
His major influences have been Artie Shaw, Peanuts Hucko, Buddy De Franco,
Eddie Daniels, Oscar Peterson - and Delius!
Julian's highly melodic music and unique sound reaches the younger audience
while his soul, original writing and phenomenal technique on his instrument
excites the jazz aficionados.

Performance starts at 7:30pm, doors from 6:30pm with bar available.

General admission: £20

Students: £5 with valid student ID

Children 12 and under: Free, accompanied by a paying adult (max 3 children per adult)
