Artist Margaret Micklewright in a solo exhibition in the Café Gallery.

Having been brought up next to the sea, seascapes and our wild coastline feature in Margaret’s compelling work. She looks to the fragile state of the cliff lines and rock faces as they are sculptured by the weather in an exploration of the Somerset and Devon coast. Margaret loves working on location, preferably in wet and windy conditions to really capture feelings that are generated by the landscape around her. She uses acrylic and handwriting ink with a wet surface, and also works in oils.
